oh heck since im thinking about it i might as well just get it over and done with...

WHAT is so good about manga??

people clamour for places in classes that teach them how to draw big-eyed characters with a nose that resembles a stroke in chinese characters! and the mouths...whats with that man they dont even have any lips!

and almost all of them would fail their hairchecks in their respective schools.

i dunno about them...but i feel that comics should be a realistic representation at least of the human anatomy. otherwise, its probably cheap art more for humour.

but look at the manga business! people actually splurge on that kind of thing! they turn it into collections...preposterous!

yes and i know many would beg to differ, and one of them is right there on the links page. and obviously they'd ask what's so good about western art anyway.

WELL if you would just take a look at the comics that marvel and dc churn out with such ease, and even crossovers like amalgam, they at least have everything in proportion. yeah gamemnae's mouth may look too big in obsidian age, and lobo may appear a little lidless in some episodes...but at least its not as DISTORTED as manga!

yeah there may be a few exceptions. there are a few dc artists that seriously get on my nerves by making their drawings too elaborate...sometimes as complicated as the storylines itself. but manga? there arent many exceptions seriously...in fact almost NO exceptions...all of them have similiar drawing styles and there is just no way to appreciate the diversity of the human minds that reside within these great...almost LEGENDARY artists!

grrrr...i dunno wat else to say but i dont think ive said enough...sheesh just OPEN your eyes and read a PROPER graphic novel wouldn't you?
